How One Stop Store Locator & Maps does it
Five styles, no key
Liberty, Bright, Positron, Dark and Fiord, plus marker and cluster colors, fonts, corner rounding and custom CSS.
Mapbox
With a Mapbox public token: Streets, Outdoors, Light, Dark, Satellite streets, Navigation day and Navigation night.
Google Maps
With a Google Maps API key: the Google Maps roadmap, and place suggestions from Google with the Places API (New).
Privacy mode
Load the map only after a click, for stores that need consent before a third party sees customers’ IP addresses.
Set it up
- Pick a map style under Appearance. No key is needed for the five built-in styles.
- To use your own provider, open Settings, turn on “Use Mapbox” or “Use Google Maps” and paste your token or key.
- Pick one of the provider’s styles and, if you want, turn on “Use for search suggestions”.
- Check the live preview, then the storefront.
Step-by-step guides with every setting:
Good to know
- Without your own key, place suggestions cover the US and suggest ZIP codes and city names, not street addresses. Store names are suggested everywhere.
- Provider styles and suggestions use your own Mapbox or Google account and its billing.
Questions
Do I need a Google Maps API key for a store locator?
No. The map and search work without any key. A Google or Mapbox key is optional, for their map styles and place suggestions.
What happens if my key stops working?
The locator falls back to the default map, so the page keeps working.
