How One Stop Volume Discounts does it
Price table
Widget style “Static table” shows the tiers as a read-only table. “Show savings column” and “Show column headers” add the saving per tier and labeled columns.
Price per item
“Show price per item” prints what one unit costs at each tier, next to the tier total, with the regular price struck through if you want.
Price lists from a metafield
On Professional, tier quantities and discounts come from the product metafield custom.volume_discounts, so one deal shows tiers that differ product by product. The Price list deal type starts there.
Decimals and fixed amounts
Percentages accept decimals such as 2.25%. Fixed amounts can come off each item or off the tier total.
Example: a price table for a $4.00 item
| Quantity | Price per item | You save |
|---|---|---|
| 1 to 11 | $4.00 | None |
| 12 to 47 | $3.60 | 10% |
| 48 or more | $3.20 | 20% |
All 30 items in a cart of 30 cost $3.60: the tier applies to all units, not only to those above 12.
Set it up
- Choose Create deal, then Price table. The table, savings column and column headers are already on.
- Pick the products or collections and set the tiers in Price tiers.
- In Advanced, turn on “Show price per item” and, if you want, “Show product compare at price”.
- Save, activate and check the table on the product page.
Step-by-step guides with every setting:
Good to know
- Tiers are all-units pricing: the reached tier sets the price of every item. The app does not price each range separately like a graduated tax table.
- Metafield-driven tiers are part of the Professional plan.
Questions
Does the tier price apply to all units or only to units above the threshold?
To all units. With tiers at 12 and 48, a cart of 30 items gets the 12-item price on all 30.
Can each product have its own price tiers in one deal?
Yes, on Professional. The deal reads each product’s tiers from the metafield custom.volume_discounts, for example filled by an ERP or a product import.
Can I show a price table without clickable tiers?
Yes. Widget style “Static table” is read-only. Customers set the quantity in the theme’s quantity box and the discount applies at checkout.
