How do I import store locations from a CSV file?
In One Stop Store Locator & Maps, open Home and choose Bulk upload, then select a CSV file. Each row becomes a location. The required columns are name, address, city, state and zip_code. Optional columns add phone, email, url, description, active, type, marker_color, lat and lon, tags, hours and timezone. When a row has no coordinates, the app finds them from the address. Download template in the same dialog gives you a sample file with every column.
Steps
- In the app, open Home and choose Bulk upload.
- Click Download template and open the sample file in a spreadsheet.
- Fill in one row per location. The required columns are name, address, city, state (a 2-letter code such as OH) and zip_code.
- For tags, separate them with a vertical bar, for example curbside|wheelchair. For hours, write each day and its times, separated by semicolons, for example mon 09:00-17:00; sat 10:00-14:00. Use mon, tue, wed, thu, fri, sat and sun.
- Save the sheet as a CSV file, drop it into the dialog and choose Upload.
- Read the Upload results. Rows that could not be added are listed under Failed rows, each with the reason.
- Fix those rows and upload them again with Upload again.
What to watch out for
- The CSV import takes US addresses: state must be a 2-letter code and zip_code a 5-digit ZIP code. Add locations in other countries one at a time with Add location, which takes any country.
- The import adds new locations only. A row whose name matches an existing location is skipped, so it does not update locations you already have.
- The app has no CSV export of locations.
- A location takes up to 20 tags.
