How do I give every store location its own page?
In One Stop Store Locator & Maps, open Location pages and publish a page for each location. Each page lives at /pages/locations/ followed by the location’s handle, inside your own theme. It shows the address, opening hours, contacts, a map and nearby locations, with Directions and Call buttons. The page title and meta description are filled in from the location. Shopify lists the pages in your store’s sitemap, and each page carries LocalBusiness structured data for search engines. Setup is once per theme: create a Location template and add the Location page block to it.
Steps
- In the app, open Location pages.
- Under Set up location pages, click Open theme editor. In the page menu at the top of the theme editor, choose Location, then Create template.
- Back in the app, click Add block to add the Location page block to that template. Remove the template’s other sections, then save.
- Both setup steps show Done when the setup is complete.
- Choose Publish on a location, or Publish all. Page URL shows the address of each page.
- To change a page’s address, choose Edit URL. Use lower-case letters, numbers and single hyphens.
- Choose View to open the page on your storefront.
- The Sitemap card shows your Sitemap URL. Open Search Console to submit it to Google.
What to watch out for
- Location pages need an Online Store 2.0 theme, because they use a metaobject template.
- Only active locations can have a page.
- The page labels follow your storefront’s language. Translate each location’s own text, such as its name and description, with Shopify’s Translate & Adapt app.
