How do I add the store locator to any page or as a popup button?
Besides its own page, the store locator of One Stop Store Locator & Maps can appear in two more places. The Store locator button app embed adds a floating button, Find a store by default, to every page of your store, and it opens the locator in an overlay. The Store locator block puts the locator inside any page template, such as your contact page, through the theme editor. Both show the same locations and settings as the store locator page, and neither needs code or an API key.
Steps
- For the popup button, open Settings in the app, then Popup button.
- Click Open theme editor. Under App embeds, turn on Store locator button, then save the theme.
- Back in the app, set Button text and Button position (Bottom right or Bottom left). Button color, Button text color, Button text size and Button text style set its look. Save.
- The Popup button card shows Active once the app embed is on.
- For a section on a page, open Online Store in your Shopify admin, then Themes, then Customize.
- Open the page template you want, choose Add section, pick Store locator under Apps, then save.
- On Home in the app, a Section: Active badge appears once the block is on a page.
What to watch out for
- The Store locator block needs an Online Store 2.0 theme, because it is an app block. The store locator page the app creates needs no block.
- The popup button shows on every page once the app embed is on. There is no setting to limit it to some pages.
- Texts, colors and behavior come from the app. The block and the app embed have no settings of their own in the theme editor.
