How do I show a cart progress card for a bundle deal?

The cart progress card is a widget style for product bundle deals. Customers buy with your theme’s own variant picker and Add to cart, and a card counts the deal’s items already in the Shopify cart. It floats at the bottom right on desktop and docks full width on phones. It shows the item count, a bar with “3 items” above each milestone and the discount, such as “10% OFF”, below it, a list of the items at their discounted price, and a Checkout button. A read-only row of tiers and prices can also show on the product page.

Steps

  1. Choose Create deal, then Cart progress card, then “Choose and customize”. Or open a deal that has Product bundles turned on.
  2. In General, pick the collection, or set “Offer applies to” to the products or variants of the bundle.
  3. In Price tiers, set the tiers. The preset starts at 2, 3 and 4 items with 5%, 10% and 15% off.
  4. In Layout, check that Widget style is “Cart progress card” and decide whether to “Show tier row on the product page”.
  5. In Rewards progress bar, write the Title and the Next-reward message. The card uses both. {n} is the quantity still missing and {reward} the next reward.
  6. Set the colors in the Rewards progress bar’s Appearance. The card takes its colors from there.
  7. Save, activate, and add an item of the deal to the cart on your storefront. The card appears and counts it.

What to watch out for

  • Only available with product bundles. Without them the option is disabled, and turning bundles off moves the deal back to Interactive.
  • The card does not change your theme’s product form: no quantity changes and no Add to cart interception.
  • It stays hidden while the cart holds no item of the deal. On phones it starts as a small pill; on desktop it starts open. Closing it leaves the pill.
  • The item list shows the deal’s items, not an order total.
  • When an active bundle page uses the deal, the card links to it with “View bundle”.
