Which deal type should I choose when I create a deal?

Create deal opens “Choose a deal type” with six starting points. Volume tiers: customers choose a quantity tier on the product page. Price table: prices for each quantity in a table, bought with the theme’s quantity box. Price list: each product’s own tiers from a metafield, on Professional. Bundle builder: customers mix products to reach a tier. Cart progress card: a floating card counts bundle items in the cart and shows the next discount. Discount only: the tiers apply at checkout with no widget. The choice sets the starting settings only, and you can change every one of them afterwards.

Steps

  1. On the app’s Home page, choose Create deal.
  2. Under Color theme, keep “No palette” for the default colors, pick one of the eight swatches, or enter a Custom color.
  3. Select a tile. Bundle builder has a “With progress bar” switch and Price list a “Show as table” switch, both on by default.
  4. Choose “Choose and customize”. The deal editor opens on General with the preset applied.
  5. Bundle builder and Cart progress card start as collection deals. Pick the collection before you save.
  6. To recolor an existing deal later, open Design and use “Apply palette”.

What to watch out for

  • Price list needs metafield tiers, which are part of Professional. On other plans its tile shows a lock and an Upgrade plan button.
  • The deal type is a starting point and is not stored on the deal. Existing deals do not change.
  • A palette sets the accent colors. Text and background colors keep their defaults.
